What are the differences between the two line marking robots?

TinyLineMarker® Sport is designed for sports teams and colleges, while TinyLineMarker Pro X is ideal for larger municipalities and service providers.

You can learn more about the two robots here.

How accurate is the robot?

The field painters are accurate down to of 1-2 cm / 0.4-0.8″.

Does the robot need a base station?

TinyLineMarker is designed to work without a base station. It uses the RTK (real-time kinematic) network. A base station is an extra unit you set up near the robot, while the RTK network is an online service you subscribe to. Our experience clearly shows that the two methods give the same results in terms of accuracy and precision. At the same time, using RTK is easier for the user because it works instantly. Setting up a base station takes extra time and may require the user to set it up in the exact same location as last time.

How autonomous is the robot?

As soon as you have selected a field and pushed the Start button, the robot will mark the whole field by itself. You will receive a notification sound on your tablet when the robot has finished the field.

Why does the robot only have three wheels?

Technically, a unit with four wheels on an uneven ground will only touch the ground with three wheels. If one of the wheels not touching the ground is a driving wheel, the robot will start turning or just not move. With three wheels, all three wheels will always be touching the ground and the robot can move steadily, also on uneven and slippery surfaces.

How long does the battery last?

With a fully charged battery, you can expect the robot to work continuously for at least five hours.

Do I need to buy any extra components?

The robot is supplied with all that you need in the box: robot, battery, charger, rugged tablet and SIM cards. All software is pre-installed and the robot is ready to use when you receive it.

Will there be additional yearly costs?

A correction signal (RTK) is needed to achieve the highest precision. Both the tablet and the robot are equipped with mobile network cards, which require payment of a yearly fee. The annual fee to RTK and fees for the mobile network cards vary from country to country.

What happens if my robot stops working?

The TinyLineMarker is equipped with a SIM data card that allows our technicians to easily access any robot around the world. If the problem is software related, the robot will normally be repaired and operational within minutes after the technicians have attended to it.

Paint System

What type of paint can be used?

Your dealer has tested paint that is commonly used in each country and can recommend the best paint suppliers. Contact your dealer in your local country for more information.

What is the paint-cleaning process?

The cleaning process is fully controlled from the tablet. After emptying the system, the suction hose can be placed in clean water and the continued cleaning process can be activated via tablet.

App and Tablet

What technical skills do you need for the control app?

Our control app was specifically designed to be user-friendly and easy to navigate. The plan was so anyone, even those who have absolutely no technical skills, can use the tablet and navigate the app. In fact, by using our tablet, you could lay out or modify your chosen field template in less than a minute. We provide instructional “How to” tablet videos that show just how easy to use and time-efficient our tablets really are.
