Vandel Solar Park – Energi Innovation

Energi Innovation, a Danish green energy EPC and project development company was contracted to install a large-scale solar park at Vandel in Denmark. The solar park will have an estimated power output of 162 MwP.

115,000 Points – 230 Points an Hour

Vandel Solar Park and Energi Innovation needed to mark out 115,000 points for the positions of the piles for the solar panels. Normally to do this, a person would first manually mark an end point, then mark the second end point of a panel row. Following this, the two end points would be connected in a manual way, including the use of tape measures to mark the lines of the panel rows. This would be repeated across large distances and for each of the panel rows.

To make this process more efficient, Energi Innovation used the TinySurveyor to set out all the points. The existing data could easily be loaded and used by the robot, saving the crew a lot of time and work. The autonomous robot for solar park set-out averaged 230 points per hour during this project.
