Joint venture: Highway upgrade project

Seymour Whyte, a large construction engineering company, entered a joint venture highway upgrade project with Fulton Hogan, an Australian civil construction company. The Bruce Highway upgrade between Caloundra Road and Sunshine Motorway includes major upgrades to six lanes with interchanges and service roads.

Line marking and stake-out of paths and barriers

A total of approximately 100 km / 62 mi of linear, multiple line lengths needed to be marked out. The TinySurveyor dramatically reduced time and costs to meet project critical deadlines.
The TinySurveyor was also used to mark out other types of works like pedestrian paths and safety barriers which allowed the surveyors to do more project critical tasks.
The Tiny Surveyor was driven by a Topcon GR-5 receiver via UHF
and network corrections.
